Andrew Romanoff US Senate Candidate Internships
Andrew Romanoff, candidate for United States Senate and former Speaker of the House, is offering the following internships with his campaign:
Field Intern:
- Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 2pm-6pm; Saturday Noon-6pm (schedule negotiable)
- Duties include assisting regional field organizers, making phone calls, and entering data.
- Intern should have experience in Microsoft Excel and enjoy talking with people.
- Campaign volunteer experience preferred.
Finance Intern:
Research:
- Duties include internet research and database updating. Interns will research potential donors, contacts, and fundraising hosts.
- Applicants should have the creative and investigative skills to discover hard-to-find information on the Internet. Attention to detail and judgment to discern current and relevant information are important. Interns will learn and use NGP, VAN, Google, Excel, and other online databases.
Fundraising/Events:
- Assist finance team with all aspects of events from planning to execution. Duties include working with co-hosts to plan events and ensure good turnout, drafting invitations, tracking RSVPs, and attending events. Outgoing personality is a must.
Political Outreach Intern:
- Work with Political Director to identify, contact, and engage special interest groups (i.e. doctors, attorneys, businesspeople, women, ethnic and minority groups, students, etc.).
- Solid research and communication skills needed.
Media Intern:
New Media:
- Duties include learning the virtual ropes of new media and effective use new media applications like Facebook and Twitter.
- Interns will help with internet marketing and will be an integral part of making social networking fit into a broader communications strategy.
Video/Graphics:
- Duties include helping to create website videos and campaign graphics. Interns have the opportunity to work in video production and have their work published.
- Interns will use advanced equipment and must posses a drive to prove themselves.
Interns will have flexible schedules working 10-30 hrs/wk.
