President – Leah Marvin-Riley
Leah has been working in politics her entire adult life (except for a short hiatus at Illegal Petes-yum), notably serving as the Chief of Staff to Vermont Speaker of the House, working on the intersection of native american lands and energy and transportation at the National Conference of State Legislatures and working as a legislative aide for Representative Janet Buckner in her first term as a state legislator. Leah currently works as the Program Manager at Emerge Colorado, training Democratic women to run for office across the state.
She has a Political Science degree from the University of Vermont and is currently a participant in the Transit Alliance Citizen’s Academy.
Leah ran for DYD because she believes that this is the most important time in our lives as millenials to get involved. Our generation is more open minded and open hearted than any generation before us and if we want to see a change, we need to step up. She is so excited to be working with the new DYD Board to offer every opportunity for people to take ownership of their community.
Leah is also a licensed hand poked tattoo artist and loves to be outside.
