Kate Sneed has worked in public service for over ten years. She began her career in public service as an educator. She developed, managed and evaluated job readiness trainings for high school students. It was here that she developed an interest in education reform that lead to a stint as a policy analyst. Realizing she could make a direct impact in the classroom, Kate became a licensed teacher in the State of Colorado and began teaching high school math.
After more than six years in classrooms across the metro area, teaching at-risk and underserved students, Kate brought her years of experience and passion for providing all people an equal opportunity to learn and achieve to the state capitol. She has served as a Legislative Aide and is currently the JBC Policy Analyst for the Senate Democrats.
Kate graduated with a BS in Math Economics from Colorado College and has a Masters in Public Administration from University of Colorado Denver.
She loves to travel the world and experience other cultures and people. A Native to Colorado, Kate spends time with her family and also enjoys expressing her creative side through quilting and other sewing projects. She lives with her adorable dog, Belle, in Central Denver.
